Aqueous solutions of monoethylene glycol (MEG Solutions)
By request of customers, our company is able to prepare aqueous solutions of different concentrations of ethylene glycol. These solutions (mixture of ethylene glycol and of distilled or demineralized water) not containing additive package and are intended for use in different industries for technological needs, where there is no need for protection against corrosion of equipment and recommended design organizations and corresponding instructions of the equipment.
A solution of EG - colorless transparent homogeneous liquid or color dye used according to customer requirements.
Composition: ethylene glycol (1,2 ethanediol), distilled or demineralized water (dye).
Physico-chemical characteristics are defined by% EG solution containing ethylene glycol, and can have the following characteristics:
Density at 20 ° C, g / cm 2 - 1,015-1,110;
the onset of crystallization temperature, ° C - from minus 5 to minus 40 ÷ 45;
Boiling point, ° C - 100 to 140;
Using the solution of the EEG is necessary to observe safety regulations and industrial health rules relating to chemicals. Ethylene glycol is toxic and poisonous for human body, and relates to a third class of hazard (moderately hazardous substance). EG solutions are recommended for use only in closed heating systems (closed vessel). Its vapors are poorly marked irritant, toxic and narcotic effect. Maximum permissible concentration (MPC) of ethylene glycol vapors in air - 5 mg / m 3 .
Avoid contact with the coolant inside the human body!
When handling the EG solution must use personal protective equipment in accordance with industry standards GOST 12.4.011-89 (goggles, gloves, spets.odezhdu). The following measures should be taken in the event of unprotected contact with a solution of EG:
|Type of contact||symptoms||Help|
|Eye Contact||Temporary redness, tearing||Rinse under running water for 10 minutes.
If necessary, seek medical advice
|In contact with skin||Temporary irritation of wounds, scratches.||Rinse under running water and soap.|
|If swallowed,||Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain||Rinse water mouth, excessive drinking water, activated charcoal, saline laxative.
Seek medical advice immediately.
ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
When leakage spill shield earthen wall, inert fill material to collect in the container. Do not allow to enter into water reservoirs, basements, sewers.
Use only in technical systems strictly in accordance with the purpose!
Transport and storage conditions
Mortar transported in a sealed container.
The solution was stored in a tightly sealed container in a well-ventilated warehouses, and outdoor areas, protected from direct sunlight.
Substandard solutions directed to specialized companies for disposal according DsanPІN 2.2.7.029.
TYPES OF PACKING
The solutions are made only on the order and packed in a container according to the customer request (cans, barrels, p / e crate capacitance V = 1.0 m 3 , and rail cars / d tanks)
